Kadia Francis – Jamaica

Digital Jamaica Platform

Kadia Francis is a multi-discipline digital professional and the founder of the Digital Jamaica Platform, an information and education resource dedicated to the education, promotion, and overall growth of Jamaican tech and digital professionals. Her motto “the future of everything is digital” indicates her firm belief in the immense potential of these spaces to advance small island states like Jamaica. She is a graduate of the University of Technology and holds an Upper Second Class Honors Degree in Law. Kadia is of the view that studying for and successfully completing a law degree at the University of Technology has been the best thing she has ever done. She credits this process with her gaining invaluable skills and abilities that she now relies on in her work.

September 30 @ 2PM-3PM PDT – From Patois to Kreyol: The Power of Podcasting in the Caribbean Community

In this session, you will hear from five Caribbean podcasters from different Caribbean communities discussing – 1) the impact of podcasting in their country/community, and 2) the challenges and opportunities that podcasting presents. Podcasters will also dive into the future of what podcasting looks like in the region.
