EarBuds Podcast Collective
Arielle Nissenblatt is the founder and lead curator of EarBuds Podcast Collective, a listening movement that encourages people around the world to share their favorite podcasts with others. She listens to 20+ hours of podcast material each week to stay current and on top of new trends and listens at 1.5x speed to get it all done…(continue) Arielle hosts a storytelling show called EarBuds Live, in which she invites people to share stories on the power of listening. EarBuds Podcast Collective encourages people to listen to podcasts and audio content that they’d otherwise not come across by sending out a weekly email that contains a theme and 5 podcasts on that theme. Each week is curated by a different person!
Session 9PM-10PM PDT – The Best Friends are the Friends who Listen…to podcasts!
While podcasting is still a growing industry, it seems like everyone and their mother is starting one. There are podcasts on everything you can possibly imagine. I won’t even bother listing them, just think of two seemingly disjointed nouns, put them together, and there’s probably a podcast on it (i.e. alligator golf, probably). How can we possibly find the podcasts that are worth our time? And then, how do we find people to discuss them with? Enter listening communities. In the past few years, podcast listening communities have sprung up all over the world, both virtually and in person. As the founder of EarBuds Podcast Collective, Arielle Nissenblatt is well versed on podcast communities. This presentation will highlight podcast listening communities, how you can join, and how to take the content that you hear from podcasts and put it into action.
